Sausage Gravy
One of our favorite breakfasts when the weather turns cold. This quick and easy sausage gravy recipe is perfect over biscuits (homemade or store bought)!
Ingredients
- 16 oz package pork sausage
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 cups milk (whole or 2%)
- salt (to taste)
- pepper (to taste)
Instructions
- In a large non-stick skillet, cook and brown the sausage on medium high heat. Break sausage into pieces with a wooden spoon while cooking. This will help brown the sausage.
- Once the sausage is cooked, decrease to medium low heat. Sprinkle the flour over the sausage and mix well.
- Add the milk to the sausage mixture and stir well.
- Continue cooking and stir frequently for about 20 minutes or until the sausage gravy is bubbling and thick. Add salt and pepper to taste, mix well.
- Cover gravy over biscuits and enjoy!
Notes
Enjoy this with homemade biscuits, but store bought work just fine (and saves time)!
