
Sea Salted Chocolate Chip Cookies
Chewy on the inside, crispy on the edges....I dare you to try and eat just one! This is my favorite chocolate chip cookie recipe.
Equipment
- Stand mixer
- cookie sheets lined with parchment paper
- cookie or ice cream scoop
Ingredients
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp sea salt finely ground
- 1 cup butter salted, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup light brown sugar
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 eggs large
- 2 cups chocolate chips
- course sea salt for sprinkling
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Line cookie sheets with parchment paper and set aside.
- In a separate bowl mix flour, baking soda, salt, baking powder. Set aside.
- In a mixer, cream together butter and sugars until combined.
- Beat the eggs and vanilla into the buttery mixture until fluffy.
- Mix in the dry ingredients until combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips and mix well.
- Using a cookie or ice cream scooper, scoop the dough into balls and place on the prepared cookie sheets. Make sure they are evenly spaced.
- Bake in preheated oven for 10 minutes. Remove from oven when they are just beginning to turn brown.
- As soon as they are removed from the oven, immediately sprinkle course sea salt over the cookies.
- Allow them sit on the baking pan for 2 minutes before removing to cooling rack.
