Sea Salted Chocolate Chip Cookies

Chewy on the inside, crispy on the edges....I dare you to try and eat just one! This is my favorite chocolate chip cookie recipe.

  • Stand mixer
  • cookie sheets lined with parchment paper
  • cookie or ice cream scoop


  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp sea salt finely ground
  • 1 cup butter salted, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup light brown sugar
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 eggs large
  • 2 cups chocolate chips
  • course sea salt for sprinkling


  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Line cookie sheets with parchment paper and set aside.
  • In a separate bowl mix flour, baking soda, salt, baking powder. Set aside.
  • In a mixer, cream together butter and sugars until combined.
  • Beat the eggs and vanilla into the buttery mixture until fluffy.
  • Mix in the dry ingredients until combined.
  • Fold in the chocolate chips and mix well.
  • Using a cookie or ice cream scooper, scoop the dough into balls and place on the prepared cookie sheets. Make sure they are evenly spaced.
  • Bake in preheated oven for 10 minutes. Remove from oven when they are just beginning to turn brown.
  • As soon as they are removed from the oven, immediately sprinkle course sea salt over the cookies.
  • Allow them sit on the baking pan for 2 minutes before removing to cooling rack.
