Loaded with gooey chocolate chips and warm pumpkin spice flavor, these fall inspired muffins are perfect for dessert, a quick breakfast or a snack.

  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 eggs large
  • 3/4 cup pumpkin canned
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp pumpkin pie spice
  • 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 tsp ground cloves
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 2/3 cup chocolate chips semi-sweet or dark chocolate, whatever you prefer


  • Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F. Grease and flour muffin pan or use paper liners, sprayed with cooking spray.
  • Whisk sugar, oil, and eggs together in a large bowl. Then, stir in pumpkin and water until well blended.
  • In a separate bowl, mix together flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, pumpkin pie spice, nutmeg, cloves, and salt.
  • Add the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients and stir just to combine, being careful not to over mix. Gently stir in chocolate chips.
  • Fill the muffin cups 2/3 full with batter.
  • Bake in the preheated oven until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean, about 20 to 22 minutes.
