This quick and simple salad is always a big hit at our summer barbecues! Have this salad as a side dish or with a slice of fresh rustic bread. So yummy!

  • 1 1/2 lb cherry tomatoes (halved)
  • 48 oz marinated mozzarella balls (4 12 oz containers)
  • 1 cup basil (roughly chopped)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil (extra virgin)
  • Italian seasoning (I used McCormick's Italian herb grinder)
  • salt
  • pepper


  • Cut the cherry tomatoes in half. Very small tomatoes can stay whole. Transfer to a bowl.
    Caprese Salad -
  • Roughly chop the basil and add to tomato mixture.

  • With a slotted spoon, add the marinated mozzarella balls to the mixture.

  • Add olive oil, then add Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper to taste.
  • Mix well. Refrigerate 1 hour before serving.
